In order to achieve high standards of customer satisfaction, Brainzsquare, Inc. (“Brainzsquare”) has established reliable policy regarding Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). These policies are developed to help our customers sustain the quality of their products.
1. Introduction to the Warranty
Brainzsquare’s warranty for the products is based on following terms and limitations listed below. Brainzsquare guarantees that all Brainzsquare’s products have been tested and manufactured according to the stated components and specifications. If your product malfunctions in specified usage environment due to a flaw in manufacturing procedure, Brainzsquare will either fix or replace your product with a new one.
As this warranty is only valid for the products under the certified warranty period, we will have to require you to verify your original purchase date. After the verification process, Brainzsquare will decide to either fix or exchange the product according to the inspection results. In case of exchange, Brainzsquare will be providing a functionally equivalent product. Yet, if we no longer hold the inventory of that particular product, we will compensate you excluding the amount of period the product has been used.
This warranty does not cover malfunctions caused by such usage environments: accident, misuse, mishandling, improper usage, alteration, abnormal mechanical environmental condition (including prolonged exposure to humidity), connection to improper devices, and problems regarding electrical power (including under-voltage, over-voltage, or power supply instability). Moreover, Brainzsquare is not responsible for the data lost due to the malfunction in flash memory components. Brainzsquare’s products should only be used with the specified devices following the industrial standards. Brainzsquare is not responsible for breakdown for connected devices caused by malfunctions. In whatever situation, Brainzsquare will never be responsible of the loss created by losing the data. This loss may include profit loss, business investment loss, business relationship loss, and any type of direct or indirect losses. Brainzsquare will not take responsibility on third-party equipment, even when the possibility of such failure is warned in advance. This warranty will not cover situations that are illegal according to the related legislation.
This warranty is exclusive, and there is no expressive/implied warranty existing (such as possibility of selling or trading). This warranty will not be affected by the technological support and advice made by Brainzsquare.
2. Duration of Warranty
Warranty of your product is only valid between the initial purchase date to the end of the warranty period. Therefore in order to receive our official service, you will be required to verify your original purchase date.
Brainzsquare will decide to either fix or exchange the product according to the inspection results. In case of exchange, Brainzsquare will be providing a functionally equivalent product. Yet, if we no longer hold the inventory of that particular product, we will compensate you excluding amount of period the product has been used.
1 Year Warranty
From the initial purchase date, 1 year warranty is applied for following products:
– SECUDRIVE USB Basic
– SECUDRIVE USB Personal
– SECUDRIVE USB Enterprise
– SECUDRIVE USB CAD
– SECUDRIVE USB Office
Brainzsquare hold the rights to decide whether to fix or exchange your product. The decision made by Brainzsquare is permanent. Also Brainzsquare may decide to exchange your product with our repaired product featuring equivalent functions.
3. Terms for Return
Brainzsquare always aim to provide high-quality customer service exceeding the industry standards. Our highest value lies in achieving the best customer satisfactions.
It is very important for you to be fully aware of the terms written below regarding the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). Please read carefully before returning any goods.
* Policies Regarding the Warranty
1. The round-trip shipping expense should be prepaid. If the good(s) gets sent as cash on delivery, it will be sent back to you.
2. If the product gets damaged due to negligence, the service will be provided at a cost.
3. If you wish to exchange or refund your product, contact the distributor or dealer you have purchased from.
4. Backup of the data stored in the device must be made before sending the product to us. Brainzsquare is not responsible of any data lost in this process.
4. Steps for Product Return
You can request for RMA using our website. When sending a request, please include your product name and type of problem you are having with it. After some verification procedure, we will immediately be sending you the RMA number.
Note that this RMA number is extremely important in receiving our service. You need to clearly write your RMA number on the box that stores your good(s). Also after receiving your RMA number, the good(s) must be sent to us within 14 days.
5. Warranty Claim Requirements
When sending the product, you need to prepare the following: receipt indicating your purchase date, prepaid shipping expense, and shipping insurance. In order to prevent damage during the shipping procedure, please check that the product is packed well before sending.
6. Replacement, Repair and Refund Guidelines
If you have purchased our product indirectly through our distributors and dealers, please inquire them to help you exchange, repair, or refund your product.
* If the purchase date of the product is within 7 days: Brainzsquare will provide replacement or give full refund after confirming that the product has been sent back (within 30 days). Brainzsquare will be responsible for all shipping expenses caused during this procedure.
* If 7 days have passed since the purchase date, but still within the warranty period: In this case, Brainzsquare has the responsibility to fix the malfunctioning product. If the product gets sent to us within the warranty period, you will not be asked to cover the cost for fixing the product. Yet you will be required to prepay the expense for sending the product to us. Brainzsquare will be responsible of expense required to send back the product.
*If the product’s warranty period has ended: Brainzsquare will still be fixing the product, only if you cover all the costs occurring during this procedure. These costs may include shipping expense, personnel expense, and cost of components.
7. Some Exceptional Situations
Brainzsquare guarantees that all of our products have been properly manufactured with appropriate materials. Hence, if your product gets damaged in these types of situations listed below, Brainzsquare will not be responsible for those damages.
* Damage made in the shipping process.
* Customer’s misuse, mishandling, and improper usage of the product.
* Not properly following the manual’s directions.
8. Situations of Taking No Responsibility
Brainzsquare will never be responsible of the loss created by losing data. This loss may include profit loss, business investment loss, business relationship loss, and any type of direct or indirect losses. Brainzsquare will not take responsibility of the product that had been damaged by our product.
9. Limitations in Responsibility
All the contents regarding the warranty written above will be treated as the official warranty policy Brainzsquare will follow. This policy will always be treated in front of any verbal warranty and promises. This written policy will be the one and only warranty provided with the Brainzsquare products. Both direct and indirect services will only be provided in the warranty periods explained above.
Brainzsquare bans our product being used in devices related to human life. For example, our product should not be used with essential part of life-support system (LSS). Brainzsquare will not be responsible of injury, death, and any type of property loss due to using our product in military equipment, traffic control equipment, disaster prevention equipment, and medical devices. If you still wish to use our product in these types of devices, contact us directly before using them. Brainzsquare will be providing three types of services regarding the warranty; replacement, repair, and refund. This replacement, repair, and refund will be the only type of services Brainzsquare will provide for the customers holding the valid warranty.
Following the related laws and regulations, Brainzsquare will never be responsible of cost, damage, data loss, profit loss, and any type of coincident/resulting loss made during the purchase, usage, and malfunction of our product. This is true even when we were notified the possibility of such loss at advance.
